Dr. Sarah Mancuso

Dr. Sarah Mancuso

BMSc., DDS.

Dr. Sarah Mancuso completed her undergraduate studies in biomedical science, at the University of Western Ontario. After completing her first degree in 2007, she went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, also at UWO. Since graduating with honours in 2011, she has returned home to the Niagara region to practice.

Dr. Sarah Mancuso is a Board Member and currently the first-ever female President for the Ontario Academy of General Dentistry. She is an active member of her community dental associations, including the Niagara Peninsula Dental Association, the Welland District Dental Society, the Regional Niagara Academy of General Dentistry Study Club, as well as the ODA. She also acts as Editor-in-Chief for the semi-annual magazine publication Spectrum Young Dentist. Dr. Sarah Mancuso is a certified Invisalign provider, has taken courses in Advanced Cosmetic reconstruction, and has lectured for Niagara College and various conventions.

Dr. Mancuso graduated from the University of Toronto in 1985 and has maintained a general dental practice in Welland, Ontario ever since.

In 2006 he received the award of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry and in 2011 he was recognized with the “Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition Award” by the AGD. 

He has published articles for numerous dental journals and has given over 100 presentations to various dental organizations. In 2012 he was named, “Canadian AGD Dentist of the Year” by the Canadian AGD

From 1999 to 2009, Dr. Mancuso conceived, developed and ran “Millennium Aesthetics”- a live hands-on program that taught dentists and staff aesthetic diagnosis and treatment.

In 2015 he was appointed Co-director for the University of Toronto, Continuing Education, Cosmetic Dentistry Mini-Residency program for practicing dentists. He was Scientific Co-Chair for CARDP for the 2015 and 2019 meetings.

He currently serves as President of the Regional Niagara AGD study club.

Dr. Michelle Lepore graduated from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences. She completed her dental education at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario graduating with distinction. Dr. Lepore has a passion for working with young patients and she was awarded the Paediatric Dentistry Award.

Dr. Lepore has participated in dental outreach programs locally while at school in South Western Ontario as well as abroad travelling to Peru, Guatemala and Grenada to provide dental care to the most underserviced populations. Dr. Lepore is committed to providing the best dental care possible and is looking forward to building long lasting relationships with her patients. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and her golden retriever, Charlie. She also enjoys travelling, playing sports and is an avid Toronto Raptors fan.

Denturist, CDT, DD

Peter graduated from the George Brown College, Denturist program in 1994. From graduation he joined Dr. Mancuso and has been with him ever since, working two days a week. Peter’s family is also in the dental business owning and operating a Dental Laboratory in Hamilton.

Patient Coordinator/Receptionist

Annette is a graduate of Niagara College as a Certified Dental Assistant and has been working within the dental profession for over 30 years.  She started with Welland Dental Care in 1996 as part of our Front Desk team and continues to help our patients with all of our patients administrative needs.

Treatment Coordinator/CDA Level II

Lisa began her Dental Assisting Career at Welland Dental Care in 1996. Over the years she advanced to a Level II Certified Dental Assistant which allowed her to be able to perform additional clinical duties within the office.  In 2001 Lisa took on the role of Treatment Coordinator with our Administrative Team and has since used both her clinical and administrative knowledge to help educate and guide our new patients and existing patients towards their dental goals.

Dental Hygienist, RDH

Rosa graduated from Niagara College in 1992 as a Certified Dental Assistant and began her career within our office. She returned to school after a few years and in 1996 graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  Rosa has since remained a key member of our Hygiene Team.  She is dedicated to her career and continues to provide her patients with the best dental care possible. For more than 20 years Rosa has continued to further her hygiene career with ongoing continuing education courses and maintaining her professional portfolio.

In 2003 Sarah graduated from Niagara College as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  Since our team joining our team in 2004, she has faithfully provided her patients with excellent oral care for over 15 years, and strives to educate her patients about their individual needs. Sarah is dedicated to ongoing continuing education within her profession and ensures that her patients have a comfortable experience at every visit.

Becky graduated wit honours from Niagara College as a Registered Dental Hygienist and she was  chosen as  the recipient of the “Dental Staff Award”. She has been part of our team since 2013. Becky is very passionate about helping others achieve their very best oral care.

Lindsay

Dental Hygienist, RDH

Lindsay received her BS in biology in 2007 from the University of Rhode Island. She then pursued dental hygiene and graduated with top honours from the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene in Mississauga in 2015. Since graduating Lindsay has been diligent in her ongoing continuing education within the profession, striving to always improve her knowledge in order to benefit her patients. In her free time she loves exploring Canada, landscape photography and spending quality time with her family.

Caitlyn graduated from Pre-Health Sciences at Niagara College in 2014.  She decided after that to apply to the Dental Program and successfully graduated in 2015 as a Certified Dental Assistant. She received the “Radiography Award” for that year which is presented to the student who excels in taking high quality x-rays, a definite asset to any practice.  As part of our clinical team, Caitlyn is a great team player who is always willing to lend a hand.

Zena graduated in 1995 from TSB College in Mississauga as a certified Dental Assistant. For over 25 years she has worked in dentistry, helping to improve peoples smiles. Zena relocated to the Niagara area in 2019 and has been with us at Welland Dental Care ever since. She loves being a part of the Niagara region, and is a great team player.

Taylor graduated high school in 2018 and from there went straight into the dental assisting program at Niagara College. She graduated as a CDA in 2019 and started working in Stoney Creek. After getting married and moving to the area Taylor joined Welland Dental Care in 2020. Her favourite  thing to do as a dental assistant is lab work – trimming models and making different types of guards.

Before moving to Canada in 2005, Bertha lived in Lima, Peru, where she attended the University of San Martín of Porres and studied nursing. She decided to continue her education here in Canada as a dental assistant, and graduated in 2010 from Everest College in Mississauga. She has been working chair-side in the dental field for 11 years. In her free time she enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
